Pastels

{sweater: Old Navy | shirt: h&m | necklace: Loft | jeans: Citizens (similar) | boots: Corso Como (similar)}

It's Wednesday but it feels like Monday. This means Friday is going to feel like Wednesday and the weekend is going to feel like an early surprise! I sure do love a long weekend. I spent this past weekend gallivanting around Seattle, playing tourist with some of my favorite people.

And I wore this mint sweater. I might be a little late to the mint bandwagon, but better late than never? On the other hand, I'm getting an early start on spring pastels!

mirror, mirror.

It's been a rainy week here in PDX. (that's airport lingo for Portland). So rainy, that I haven't been able to take any outside photos. And if it's not rainy, it's either dark out or I am at work. The woes of a fashion blogger in January...

Luckily, I snapped this photo in the bathroom mirror at work (my coworkers think I'm nuts) so that I could still show you my favorite thrifted sweater vest! If this weather keeps up, you might be seeing many more of these photos. Unless any bloggers out there have any tips for rainy day [month] outfit photos?

Dream Sweater.

{Sweater: h&m (recent) | Jeans: Citizens | Boots: Corso Como (similar)}

In the past, I've had some pretty serious disagreements with wool sweaters. Itchy arms, scratchy torso, and red neck kind of disagreements. So the other day when I stopped at h&m with my 40% off coupon in hand (seriously, 40% off at h&m!!- get on the email list if you aren't already) and saw this sweater, I gave a big sigh when the tag said 5% wool.

After a quick walk around the store, this sweater was still calling my name. Those 3 buttons on the shoulder just really got to me. I figured I could layer it over a button up to avoid all possible skin contact. When I got home and tried it on over my t-shirt, I braced for an itchy reaction. But it never happened.

Ladies and gentlemen, it turns out that 5% wool is just what this girl can handle. If you need me, I'll be spending the rest of the winter reading sweater tags.
