Hot Pink Summer Stroll

Despite the looming promise of fall that is more than evident in the fashion world (hello boots!), it's still summer in DC. So I plan on rocking my summer wardrobe as long as possible. Like my very favorite hot pink skirt! Despite the temptations to bring out my cozy layers and try out the latest upcoming fashions, there will be plenty of time for fall clothes when the weather is right. 

I wore this for a Sunday walk to the Capitol followed by crepes and coffee at Eastern Market. Even after 4 years in DC, it still seems a bit surreal that I can take a walk and snap photos in front of our Nation's Capitol Building. I am forever grateful for opportunities like this. And on a day like today, it's important to remember the many blessings in our lives- big and small. What are you grateful for?

I find it really hard to be creative on a Monday morning, especially before I've had coffee. Hence, the title of this blog post. Blue Maxi. And even coming up with that was a stretch for my brain. So without further ado, I'll leave you with this outfit while I go grab a cup of Joe. Happy Monday.
